A village in Kazakhstan has its own "Eiffel Tower" as tall as a ten-story building (3 photos + video)
An unusual art object has been erected in the village of Zhalpaktal in Kazakhstan: a 30-meter replica of the Eiffel Tower. The enormous structure was financed by graduates of a local school who decided to contribute to the development of their native village. The former classmates spent approximately $100,000 on the construction of this miniature version of the famous French landmark. The tower has already become a local landmark and one of the most talked-about attractions in the region.
For residents of Zhalpaktal, such projects have long been a tradition. Graduates from various years regularly raise money for the improvement of the village: previously, thanks to their initiatives, new parks, fountains, and modern sports complexes were built. While some debate the benefits of such a structure, others note that not every village can boast such an active community, one that literally transforms its hometown with its own efforts.
