Paraglider Nearly Dies Due to Balloon (2 photos + 1 video)
Recently, 27-year-old Michael encountered an unexpected situation in the air. During flight, a helium balloon shaped like the number "6" suddenly appeared in the path of his paraglider and snagged his gear, nearly causing a crash.
"Shortly after takeoff, I saw something moving in the sky. At first, I thought it was another pilot, then a large bird. But as I got closer, it became clear it was a hot air balloon," Michael said.
The situation took a dangerous turn when he tried to catch the balloon with his feet, but it bounced off and got stuck in the lines. He's been paragliding for six years, but this experience will definitely be memorable.
"I landed safely with the balloon. Now it lives in my living room. I even painted a little mark with a crossed-out balloon on my paramotor."
"Usually the flights are peaceful and offer amazing views," he said. "The craziest thing that ever happened was when cows stole my gear. I had to run almost two miles to catch them and get my stuff back."
The video has garnered over 4 million views. Viewers were quick to share their opinions. Among them were farmers who spoke about helium balloons in their fields and how they harm livestock.
