Live in an Indian prison for your money (7 photos)
In South Korea, it is very popular to spend three days in prison among the locals, it really helps to relieve stress, they also have paid prisons. And in India, no one wants to go to prison themselves, but tourists are welcome to go to jail for their own money.
At Tahir Jail in India, a tourist can spend a day in a jail cell, just like a real Indian criminal does. The entertainment program includes taking you in handcuffs through the prison, giving you prison clothes, and lunch, exactly the same as real prisoners.
Sleeping, of course, is on the floor; there are no beds for criminals in such prisons. For extreme sports enthusiasts – several hours in a common cell with real prisoners.

And all this costs from 2 thousand rupees per day (20 dollars). Inexpensive for extreme sports enthusiasts who have reached India and decided that the thrill is still not enough for them.
The most extreme thing is to sit with real prisoners
In South Korea, hotel prisons are a purely commercial project; no one will let you into a real prison. In India, one wing of the Tihar prison was given over to the Feel Like Jail project.
This is solitary confinement in New Delhi, this is a demonstration prison
That is, if you are a man (women are not allowed to do this, you still have a head on your shoulders), then you can agree to serve your day in a common cell.
I doubt that they will be locked up with any prisoners there. Most likely, the calmest ones are offered to participate in a tourist attraction for a small fee as a correction.
In response, they offer to behave decently and not try to snatch an earring or a gold tooth from the guest.
In Indian prisons, the prisoners themselves cook according to standards, but still sitting on the floor)
But, knowing what a mess is going on in India with the execution of instructions, I’m ready to bet that half of the people from the general cell will be random people who asked to replace those who were selected for the program.
And there will be a couple more “serious people” who got into the program for bribing a security guard.
Somehow I don’t really want to be on camera with these individuals.
That is, I would not advise even the most desperate extreme sports enthusiasts to take this part of the tour program.
This is a working business project
And here are the happy Koreans in their Weekend Prison, men and women together and all that
This is not the first paid prison for tourists in India. The attraction had already opened in Telangana in 2016. There, for 500 rupees a day, you can spend a day as a prisoner in the 220-year-old Sangareddy Jail. But there the tourists were 100% separated from the prisoners and never crossed paths with them.
