Specter coupe goes under auction at Bring a Trailer auction 2008 Werkes/Sports GTR. This is a Specter car. Werkes/Sports of Michigan, which is based on the Chevrolet platform Sixth generation Corvette.
The now defunct SWS presented the GTR project in 2008. The main difference between this sports car and the donor Corvette C6 is completely redesigned body: only the roof and rear glass. Changed, for example, fenders, bumpers, hood, optics, design feed and exhaust pipes. Some parts are made of carbon fiber.

In addition to the bodywork, Specter Werkes/Sports also modified the engines. This engine develops 535 hp and 720 Nm in combination with a six-speed manual box and rear wheel drive.
Reinforced stabilizers are used in the chassis of the sports car Hotchkis, more powerful StopTech brakes and 20" wheels Forgeline.
The seller does not specify this, but the SWS GTR for sale may be one of the first copies assembled by the company. On this is indicated by the year of manufacture and a plate on the center console in the cabin with number 08-001-01.
