Zeekr has opened pre-orders for the modernized liftback 001. At the same time, the missing information has been made public: prices, some equipment details, as well as battery characteristics. The new product has become more powerful and faster, but the cost of the electric car has remained almost unchanged.





Zeekr 001 was transferred to an 800-volt architecture, which made it possible to equip it with new engines. The basic version, instead of the previous 272-horsepower engine, received a 421-horsepower unit from the 001 FR and is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds; the twin-engine version is additionally equipped with a 367-horsepower engine on the front axle. This Zeekr 001 will reach 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.

Two batteries will be offered for the electric car: a 95-kilowatt lithium iron phosphate battery and a 100 kWh NMC battery. Depending on the combination of engines and batteries, the power reserve of the updated 001 will be from 675 to 750 kilometers. Replenishing energy reserves from 10 to 80% from a powerful station in the first case will take 11.5 minutes, in the second it will increase to 15 minutes. In addition, Zeekr can supply a current of up to 60 kW - it can, for example, charge other electric vehicles.

The appearance of the 001 has been redesigned in the style of the top version 001 FR, and a new Olive Green body color has been added. The interior architecture is generally preserved, but Zeekr claims improved finishing materials, a new steering wheel and an optimized instrument panel, which is combined with a 15.6-inch central screen. The media system now runs on the Snapdragon 8295 chip. Other updates include an advanced Yamaha sound system with 28 speakers, some of which are built into the headrests, and an electrochromic roof with 10 independent segments.

The Zeekr 001 will be equipped with a 35.5-inch head-up display, dual-chamber air suspension with continuous damping control, an advanced autopilot and an optional towbar - the electric car can tow trailers weighing up to two tons.

The base cost of an electric car in China is 269 thousand yuan (35 thousand dollars). The rear-wheel drive 001 with a 100-kilowatt battery and all-wheel drive with a 95 kWh battery were estimated at this amount. The most expensive version will cost 329 thousand yuan (42 thousand dollars). The pre-restyling Zeekr 001 in the basic version with a 272-horsepower engine and a 100-kilowatt battery cost exactly the same, and if you order a new product before March 31, Zeekr will also make a 10,000th discount. In addition, throughout March, some rather expensive options (for example, 22-inch wheels for 20 thousand yuan) will be available for free for a number of trim levels.
