The Zeekr brand, part of the Geely concern, is preparing to launch an updated version of the 001 electric car. According to Chinese media, the main characteristics of the modernized model have traditionally leaked to the Internet thanks to the local Ministry of Industry, and it follows from them that the five-door should become more powerful, longer-range and, perhaps even cheaper.

A lithium iron phosphate battery, in theory, should be cheaper than the current nickel-cobalt-manganese battery model. The top modification of the standard 001, in addition to the engine on the rear axle, will receive a front engine with 367 horsepower. Thus, the total output of the all-wheel drive liftback power plant will reach 788 hp. s., almost 250 forces more than now.
At the same time, the appearance of the Zeekr 001 has been redesigned point by point: changes in the exterior come down to the front bumper with a developed air intake and wheel rims of a different design. The certification photos also showed an electric car in a new, discreet green body color. Chinese media report that the model will undergo slight ergonomic changes in the interior, but there are no details on this yet.
It is noteworthy that the standard 001, in fact, is closer in both design and characteristics to the recent new product - the 001 FR supercar, whose four engines develop 1265 horsepower. The market will show exactly how the reduction in distance between the flagship version and the standard five-door will affect it.
