In Brooklyn, an African American shot his neighbors because of loud music (2 photos + 1 video)
Jason Pass, a 47-year-old Brooklyn resident, shot and killed neighbors who had been listening to loud music for a year.
Jason Pass, 47, lived in the apartment with his elderly mother. Above him lived Bladimi Mathurin, his wife Marie Delisle and her two children, including Chin Wai Mode. Neighbors upstairs often played loud music, and Jason has been calling 911 to complain since 2022. But no measures were taken for a year and a half, and the cheerful family continued to listen to music and have fun. DailyMail reports that neighbors have clashed over this on more than one occasion.
On October 29, Pass again came to the neighbors to complain about loud music. While Jason was arguing with Mathurin's wife, Bladimi took the scissors and began to threaten them with them. The woman tried to pull her angry husband away, but he did not listen. Then Jason pulled a gun from his jacket and shot first at the man and then at his stepson.
The suspect's sister told DailyMail that her brother acted in self-defence. The neighbors played loud music more than once and provoked Jason into a scandal. In addition, the elderly 73-year-old mother was already tired of constant music.
Deceased Bladimi Mathurin
After the murder, Jason ran away from home. The police discovered him only on November 1. Pass saw them, grabbed a knife and started running. Officers were able to corner him and spoke with him for about 15 minutes before he attacked officers, the NYPost reported. The police responded with fire. Jason died in the hospital from four hits to the chest.
