A scuba diver found a $9,500 ring at the bottom of a lake (6 photos + 1 video)
Jenny from Bakersfield, California almost went crazy when she lost her $9,500 engagement ring in Bass Lake. Luckily, she found out about Michael Pelly, a scuba diver who looking for lost things. The man agreed to help her.
"The ring means a lot to me - we have been married for 10 years," - Jenny said. According to Pelley, he knew that the search for the ring would difficult because of the depth of the lake - 13.5 meters. And when he hit the bottom, ran into another hurdle.
"As soon as I reached the bottom of the lake, I realized how difficult there will be searches. Silt immediately muddied everything around, visibility was almost null. After a while, I realized that I had to return to surface and develop the best plan. Unlike normal diving, I couldn't just slowly rise to the surface," says scuba diver. The depth of the water required Pelly to decompress.
After a short break, Michael again sank to the bottom. IN this time he removed the glove from one hand to feel that is under mud.
"Having pulled out several sticks and cans from a thick layer of silt, I, finally pulled out a huge diamond. It was an engagement ring! I was overjoyed, especially because he knew how small the chances were." he shared.
Jenny was no less delighted. But Pelly didn't stop there: he went back underwater to pick up trash.
"I ended up finding a few sunglasses as well phone, which, unfortunately, could not be turned on. However, the main the goal was to find and return Jenny's engagement ring, and we were able to achieve, so I can't help but rejoice at the result!" - summed up man.
