RM Sotheby's will auction off the Pagani Zonda Riviera supercar in Abu Dhabi in early December. It was first built in 2006 as a standard Zonda, but in 2017, the company customized the car at the owner's request, making a number of changes. The virtually untouched supercar is expected to fetch between $9.5 and $10.5 million, compared to $5.5 million in 2019 when this Pagani changed hands.
During the rebuild, the supercar's performance was brought closer to that of the 760 series cars of the time. Specifically, the output of the Zonda's standard 7.3-liter AMG 12-cylinder engine has been increased to 760 horsepower. The unit is mated to a sequential gearbox.
Furthermore, the supercar received a unique finish, combining a creamy white hue with blue and black accents, as well as exposed carbon fiber inserts. The Riviera's flared wheel arches and roof scoop further enhance its uniqueness.
The significant price increase was likely influenced not only by general trends in the premium market and the model's rarity, but also by the condition of this particular example. The Zonda Riviera has a recorded mileage of only 908 kilometers.
