The Pagani Huayra R track supercar has been converted for public roads for the first time (5 photos)
Pagani has only produced 30 Huayra R track supercars, and now one of them has become unique. At the request of a Miami entrepreneur, Lanzante adapted the racing car for street use. Pagani has already learned about this project and is unhappy. The owner of the supercar has lost access to company events.
Pagani introduced the Huayra R in 2021, and at that time this modification was considered the most powerful and extreme in the family. The supercar is equipped with a six-liter naturally aspirated V12 with 850 horsepower combined with a six-speed sequential gearbox, the rigidity of the body is increased by one and a half times, and the aerodynamic plumage generates up to a ton of downforce. The price of this version started at 2.6 million dollars.
The publication specifies that Lanzante did not go into details regarding the regulations for the conversion of the supercar, but assumes that the Huayra R received a reconfigured chassis and brakes, new calibrations of the power unit with an improved cooling system, as well as new equipment - for example, turn signals and a climate control system.
Pagani said that in general they do not object to the reworking of their supercars by third-party companies, but still closed the owner of this Huayra R access to branded racing events. This was motivated by safety concerns, which Pagani cannot guarantee, since it is not responsible for the modifications made by tuners.
