Crazy Mazda RX-7 gets mighty Pagani Zonda V12 engine (4 pics + 1 video)
Many respect the Mazda RX-7 for its rotary engine, which made the car popular even after its production was discontinued several decades ago. Now the tuners have decided to stick in Mazda RX-7 huge engine from Mercedes V12.
YouTube has a detailed video story about one of the the most interesting projects that were highlighted at the beginning of this month on annual tuning show SEMA Show - Mazda RX-7 with a V12 engine from Pagani Zonda. The 16-minute video was posted by Larry Chen.
Before us is the joint work of automotive artist Kyzyl Salim, also known as The Kyza, Live to Offend (LTO) and Gooichi Motors. To the mighty 12-cylinder unit from the Italian supercar fit in the engine compartment of a compact coupe, specialists Gooichi had to build a lot of original parts from scratch, including the oil pan and manifolds, and remove the hood. An alternative slotted hood has already been ordered, but at the time of recording the video it has not been installed.
The power of the 7.3-liter internal combustion engine is not specified, while on different versions of the Probe itself, it had a different degree of forcing. For example, especially rare Zonda HP Barchetta, one of which was smashed in an accident a couple of months ago, produces 800 hp and 850 Nm.
In addition to the new engine, the Mazda RX-7 received a widebody body kit authored by Kyzyl Salima: such kits are produced in a limited edition under brand Live to Offend.
