The Pagani company presented a new work of art - the Utopia roadster (34 photos)
Pagani has shown a new modification of the Utopia supercar, which debuted in September 2022. This is an open-top version, in which the traditional roof has been replaced by a removable panel with a glass insert. The public premiere of the roadster is scheduled for August 9, prices start at 3.1 million euros.
The company said that the original design of the Utopia body has such a reserve of rigidity that replacing the hard roof with a removable panel did not require additional modifications. Accordingly, the roadster weighs the same as the coupe - 1,280 kilograms.
In addition to the removable hardtop, the Utopia Roadster also has a fabric roof. It is stored in the Utopia cabin in a special case. Other external differences come down to special mats and a key fob, which repeats the shape of the supercar with the roof removed.
The roadster's power unit is borrowed from the coupe. This is a six-liter V12 from Mercedes-AMG, developing 864 horsepower and 1,100 Nm. As in the case of the coupe, it can work with a manual transmission or a seven-speed Xtrac "robot". The dynamic characteristics of the Utopia Roadster are not named, although it is known that the maximum speed of the supercar is forcibly limited to 350 km/ h.
The Pagani Utopia Roadster debuted a technology previously announced by Pirelli. A special version of the P Zero tires was developed especially for the supercar: they are equipped with sensors that allow the tire to communicate its specifications to the car. In accordance with them, the optimal settings for the stabilizing systems are automatically set.
