A policeman broke a car window and hit a driver for turning off the headlights (6 photos + 1 video)
Law enforcement officers in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, stopped a driver for having his headlights off. The man began asking the police questions, but they did not stand on ceremony and used physical force.
The incident was published under the account @904will. The victim said that in February he was stopped by traffic police for having his headlights off. According to the driver, there was no rain, smoke or fog that day.
The footage shows an unseen police officer asking the driver why he didn't turn on his headlights. He replies, "It's not raining."
The officer counters, "It doesn't matter — you still have to have your headlights on."
The driver then asks to see the law, after which the officer says they'll show it as soon as he agrees to get out of the car. The man asks to see "the boss," after which the situation escalates.
The police officer standing at the driver's door smashes the window with his fist. He yells, "Get out of the car immediately." And then hits the driver on the head.
The frightened man is asked to show his hands, which he does immediately, and is then pulled out of the car. The same police officer hits the driver on the head again and throws him to the ground.
The victim said that he had a tooth knocked out and more than nine stitches were put in his lips. He suffered a concussion and briefly lost his memory. He says it has taken a toll on his mental health.
The caption on the video reads, "I'm still not over it, but I have to finally talk about it."

On Sunday, Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters announced an internal investigation.
The statement reads, "We are aware of the video that is circulating on social media. We have launched an internal investigation into this incident and the circumstances surrounding it. We hold our officers to the highest standards and are committed to finding out what happened."
