The Californian design studio of the GM concern called Pasadena Advanced Design presented its project of the future Chevrolet Corvette. This is a fantasy on the theme of what the 10th generation Corvette could look like (the eighth generation is currently on the market) and the second project in a series of concepts planned for this year. The designers believe that in a generation, the Corvette will turn into a battery hypercar.
The only things that the design concept has in common with the current Corvette are some stylistic details in the design of the front end. It is claimed that the appearance of the futuristic coupe with developed wheel arches, unusual sidewalls and active elements on the stern is completely subordinated to the requirements of aerodynamics. The carbon body of the concept is designed around a T-shaped battery, the elements of which are integrated into the bottom.
The declared dimensions of the hypercar are 4669x2184x1051 millimeters with a wheelbase of 2767 millimeters. Thus, the concept is slightly longer and noticeably lower than the current Corvette C8. The wheel rims are 21 inches in front and 22 inches in the back. The characteristics of the power plant are not named.
The interior of the prototype, according to the designers, should emphasize its track character. It is noteworthy that the electric car has no doors: it is supposed to get inside through a folding "lantern" of the roof.
