A new first-generation Chevrolet Corvette was assembled in Europe from the remains of old sports cars (12 photos)

German tuning studio Pogea Racing has presented an unusual restomod. It looks like the very first Chevrolet Corvette, but its design uses parts from several generations of Corvettes in combination with a custom chassis and a powerful engine. The tuners have not named the price of the project, but there is obviously a demand for a modernized classic of the American auto industry in Europe, since Pogea Racing has announced the imminent appearance of two more similar restomods.





The restomod body is assembled from parts of the first generation Corvette of different years of production and is installed on a tubular chassis with coilovers, developed with the participation of engineers from the Technical University of Munich. The original engine has been replaced by a 6.2-liter V8 from GM, coupled with an automatic transmission and a custom exhaust system.

The brakes for the restomod were assembled from parts from fourth- and sixth-generation Corvettes, complemented by new 19-inch wheels.

The red color in the body paint of the restomod is borrowed from the Ferrari range, the white from Audi, and the leather used in the trim is also used by Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce. The interior of the roadster retains its vintage look, but is complemented by modern instruments from Dakota Digital and an audio system based on JL Audio components.
