22-year-old “time capsule” - Corvette C5 put up for sale (7 photos)
The Low Miles No Miles community has put up for sale a “time capsule” - a 22-year-old fifth-generation Chevrolet Corvette. Over the entire period, the coupe traveled only 1,358 kilometers. The car is asking only $40,000, which is less than two-thirds the cost of a new 2024 Corvette Stingray.
The seller claims that the sports car was fully used for only one week - immediately after purchase. It was then stored in a climate-controlled garage and only started from time to time. At the same time, the car was never washed, which is easy to believe by looking at the photographs.
It is said to be one of only three 2002 sports cars available in Electron Blue. The interior is decorated in red and black colors. New the car cost $47,425.
The Corvette C5 was produced from 1997 to 2004. The standard model was equipped with a 5.7-liter 345-horsepower V8.
