Morgan to release a limited edition retro sports car Plus Six Pinnacle (10 photos)
British company Morgan, which specializes in luxury retro sports cars hand-assembled, announced the release of a special version of the Plus Six roadster called Pinnacle, the circulation of which will be limited to 30 units. The new product is already available for order at a price of 125.3 thousand dollars. 
The Morgan Plus Six debuted in 2019 as a direct successor to the Plus 8 model, which was produced since 1968 with a break in 2004-2012. The sports car retained a recognizable retro design, but was transferred to the aluminum platform of the next generation CX in combination with a traditional wooden cockpit frame. He also replaced the V8 engine with a BMW inline turbo six (340 hp and 500 Nm) paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The Plus Six accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 267 km/h.
In five years, Morgan has built almost a thousand of these roadsters to individual orders. The Plus Six Pinnacle version is designed to demonstrate the personalization options that the company offers its customers. Three new leather trim options have been developed for the "farewell" sports cars - light brown Fawn, soft blue Explore and rich dark brown Riviera. At the same time, buyers will be able to choose the body color at their own discretion with virtually no restrictions. Other special features include new genuine sheepskin carpets, a new stitch pattern on the seats and door panels, a teak centre console with an aluminium Pinnacle badge, and silver wheels.
The Plus Six Pinnacle will end production in early 2025. Morgan says it will also mark the end of more than half a century of performance classics with a distinctive profile. A new flagship model will be unveiled later that year, but it is expected to have a completely different design – no further details have been released.
