Rhino Racing from Kaunas presented a sports car called RR01. This is a mid-engined coupe, vaguely reminiscent of some Porsche and McLaren models. It is planned to sell it as a kit for self-assembly. The base price of the sports car is only 25 thousand euros, but you will have to pay separately for the engine: the power unit was estimated at another 37.5 thousand.
The Rhino RR01 is road legal but track oriented. The basic package of a sports car includes, in fact, the components for building your own car: an aluminum monocoque, steering gear, adjustable double wishbone suspension with track shock absorbers, fiberglass body panels and a minimal set of interior elements.
For 27,500 euros, the basic version will be supplemented with preparation for installing the engine (for example, fuel tanks and a cooling system), AP Racing brakes with six-piston calipers, as well as LED optics. In addition, the kit will include racing seats and interior instruments.
Finally, Rino Racing asks another 37,500 euros for the power unit. This is a 5.2-liter V10 - it is borrowed from the Audi R8, but, according to the company, is supplemented with completely new internal parts and develops about 480 forces. The engine will be supplied with the necessary attachments, a sequential gearbox and a limited slip differential.
The company is ready to begin deliveries of components for the construction of Rhino RR01 in August-September next year.
