US parents arrested after turning their son's life into a deadly nightmare (3 photos + 1 video)
Sometimes, parental "care" takes such twisted forms that it makes even seasoned investigators shudder. A married couple in the US has been arrested after their methods of raising their own son turned into a living nightmare. The couple is currently in custody awaiting trial, and the primary instrument of the crime in their case is ordinary food. 
It all began when emergency services received a call from an ordinary residential home. Medics arriving at the scene encountered a harrowing sight: a seven-year-old boy named Casper was in critical condition and passed away shortly thereafter. However, it was not the incident itself that shocked the medical team, but the child's physical appearance.
At just seven years old, the boy weighed an incredible 113 kilograms. This is nearly four times the normal weight for his age. His small heart simply could not withstand such a colossal strain and gave out.
When the police took over the case, gruesome details of life behind closed doors came to light. The boy was force-fed huge portions of high-calorie foods every day. He was forbidden from attending school or interacting with peers so that no outsider would see what was happening to his body. His parents stubbornly ignored the fact that their son was struggling to move and flatly refused to take him to a doctor.

Even when Casper’s condition became critical and his organs began to fail, the adults took absolutely no action and simply watched their son fade away.
Investigators state that both parents were employed and had health insurance for the entire family.
Their five-year-old daughter was taken into custody by Child Protective Services. The girl could not speak and behaved like a wild animal. She is currently in temporary foster care.
Immediately after the child's death was confirmed, the police arrested the couple. Investigators reached a clear conclusion: this was not merely negligence, but a deliberate, systematic act that led to the minor's death. The court denied the couple bail. They are currently in custody and face life imprisonment.
On American social media, users are demanding the maximum penalty for the defendants, noting that isolation and the denial of medical treatment constitute a sophisticated form of torture.
