Indians living in Texas rent cows to bless their homes

18 May 2026

It seems like this is happening in India, as we see people dressed in traditional Indian clothing, even carrying sacred cows. It turns out that several residents (native Indians) who moved into a new building brought cows through their apartments to bless their homes. The animals not only wandered around the rooms, but also defecated on the floor, and no one stopped them.

But where can one find a sacred animal to bless a house? It turns out that there's a Hindu organization in Houston called "Texas Gaushala," which rents out cows to anyone who needs them for such ritual purposes. It's not exactly cheap—$2,100. But apparently, there are people willing to pay for such a thing.
