Motorcyclists and a herd of cows did not share the road in India
The CCTV camera captured the cloven-hoofed travelers running out of the alley onto the street just as a motorcyclist approached the turn. Unable to stop in time, he slammed on the brakes but crashed into one of the cows, and all three men on the bike fell to the ground. None of the participants in the accident were injured.
A local resident who witnessed the collision with the cattle told the media:
“I and all my neighbors are increasingly worried and upset about the growing danger due to stray animals in the area.”
Hundreds of thousands of cows roam the streets of India. This is due to devout locals who follow Hindu customs, where cows are considered sacred animals that should not be eaten or killed once they stop giving milk.
Most Indian states have banned the sale or slaughter of cows. Instead of dealing with the economic burden of maintaining their emaciated livestock, many farmers allow the animals to roam the streets, leading to chaos with stray cows sometimes attacking people.
