The Interior of the New Xpeng P7 Distinguished by Advanced Technologies (13 photos)

Xpeng published the first images of the new-generation P7 sedan several months ago, but the interior has only now been declassified. The model is promised advanced technologies, including the largest in its class projection on the glass and "smart" front seats. The electric car will receive two power plants to choose from, pre-orders will open this week.





The architecture of the Xpeng P7 interior is generally typical for modern battery cars from China. The laconic front panel is combined with a central tunnel, on which there is not a single button, and a large central screen. Nevertheless, the developers tried to add originality. For example, the P7 is equipped with an angular steering wheel and seats with integrated headrests, which will receive active lateral support rollers. They can automatically change their position in the range of 30 mm in 10 milliseconds.

The central display is also endowed with the ability to rotate. A small instrument panel displays only the main indicators, and all additional information will be shown using a projection on the glass with a visible diagonal of 87 inches. Augmented reality functions and the ability to play video games are provided. The "digital cockpit" is promised some advanced interface, but the company does not go into details yet.

Xpeng P7 has dimensions of 5017 × 1970 × 1427 mm with a wheelbase of 3008 mm. If we compare the dimensions of the electric car, for example, with the Mercedes-Benz S-class, it is about 150 mm shorter, and the Chinese novelty has only 100 mm less between the axles. The most affordable modification will be equipped with one rear electric motor with a capacity of 367 hp, but the P7 will also have all-wheel drive versions. An additional motor in the front will increase the total output of the installation to 594 hp.

A 74.9-kilowatt battery has been prepared for the basic electric car, which will provide a range of 702 km. Replacing the battery with a 92.2-kilowatt one will allow you to travel 820 km without recharging, and dual-motor P7s with the most capacious battery will cover 750 km. Thanks to the 800-volt architecture, in theory, the P7 battery can be charged in 12-15 minutes.

Tesla Model 3 and Xiaomi SU7 are named among the main competitors of Xpeng P7.
