Great Wall has published a teaser for a mysterious new retro-style product (3 photos) (photo)

Li Fei, head of drive-by-wire systems at Great Wall, posted a teaser of a mysterious new model on Chinese social media, according to CarNewsChina. Low-quality photos show a vehicle with a distinctly retro look. Furthermore, a Great Wall representative announced the launch of a sixth auto brand within the group.





The photos, which show a partial view of the future new model's body, reveal the rounded contours of the roof and rear, flared wheel arches, and a massive chrome bumper. There is lettering on the trunk lid, but it is illegible. Overall, the design of the car is reminiscent of mid-century cars. The silhouette can be appreciated in the photo, where the new model is covered with a cover. The tires with vintage-style white sidewalls are also visible.

Currently, Great Wall Group has five brands: the off-road Haval and Tank, the urban and high-tech Wey, the Ora brand, which produces electric vehicles, and the Poer line of pickup trucks. According to Li Fei, the new model is not intended for these brands and will be the debut of an entirely new series.

It's worth noting that back in 2021, the V72 concept car was unveiled under the Wey brand, which also featured a retro-styled exterior and vaguely resembled the Soviet Pobeda. The project never reached production.
