At its presentation in Miami, the Optimus robot gestured as if removing its VR headset. It then collapsed. People believe the robot was controlled by an operator wearing a headset.
Some online users speculated that the operator failed to properly disable the remote control. Others believed the operator had fallen ill.
Several months earlier, Elon Musk had stated that Optimus robots were independent of operators and operated autonomously using AI.
