Tesla is Looking for People 170-180 cm Tall to Train the Optimus Robot. They promise to pay $48 per hour (1 photo)
Tesla has posted a job posting for a data collection operator in California on its website. Requirements include a height of 170 to 180 centimeters and a willingness to wear a special suit for at least seven hours a day. They will pay up to $48 per hour.
Apparently, the company needs employees to train the humanoid robot Optimus: it is exactly this height. In addition, the employee must wear a special suit and a virtual reality helmet. The total weight of the equipment exceeds 13.6 kilograms, and you need to wear it for at least 7 hours per shift.
You must complete a test route, perform specified movements, monitor the serviceability of the equipment, record and analyze the collected data, and prepare reports on it. In return, they offer pay of up to $48 per hour or $384 for an eight-hour workday, plus numerous benefits and bonuses from the company.
The work goes on around the clock - in three shifts, including night shifts. The training of androids is delayed. A month ago, it became known that Tesla will begin using its own Optimus humanoids at its factories not at the end of 2024, as previously assumed, but only in 2025. They will begin selling them to third-party customers only in 2026.
