Locals fight the "royal couple" in the forests of Scotland (9 photos + 1 video)
Jean Gasho, known as "Queen Nandi", complained of being harassed this week in a video posted on social media. The 43-year-old Zimbabwean woman and her husband, 36-year-old Kofi Offe from Ghana, known as "King Atekhene", along with their maid, a 21-year-old American woman named Kaura Taylor, have settled in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire. They are determined to reclaim land they believe was taken from their ancestors.
The group settled in a Scottish forest and declared the territory the property of their "lost tribe." It is now part of the northern kingdom of Kubala.
In a video filmed by Gasho, two locals with a dog swear at the settlers.
One of them said: "This is a rapist cult and I will not change my mind."
Another said: "It's a shame you've lost your heritage."
He continued to vehemently defend the man in the white hoodie: "Freedom of speech! He has the right to say whatever he wants."
Queen Nandi threatened to call the police, but the intruders were not deterred. They continued to berate her, calling her "insane."
The man in the blue t-shirt said: "Stop using racism as an argument. The police and others do not intervene because they are afraid of being accused of racism."
Six more people, including minors, later show up. The woman starts screaming and pointing at Gasho, saying she is "not allowed to film."

The royal couple didn't waste any time and showed off their rituals, which only made the situation worse.

The police eventually arrived and began asking if Gasho and her entourage had been harmed.

She later commented to the media: “The Kingdom of Kubala has suffered from violence for two millennia. The prophecy says that it will be tested in a very severe way. This is not the first time we have faced something like this. In 2024, we faced it in Stockton: constant violence, people threatening to burn us alive. It is always hard to go through something like this, but we believe in something greater. We know that the system will not help - it will not protect us, so we remain steadfast in our faith in God. We pray when this happens and we sing to get through it."

The self-proclaimed "King Atechene" added: "They come every day - morning, noon and evening. We have no difficulty in speaking to our enemies because we are not afraid. We speak to them in the words they need to hear. If the police could do anything, they would have done it by now. Our tent burned down and the police did not come. We do not trust the police - we trust only our Maker."

The tribe settled in Scotland after crossing the border from Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham.
Taylor, Offe's maid, went missing with her one-year-old daughter from her home in Texas three months ago. She was found in Scotland shortly after.
Vandora Skinner said her niece met the couple online and began acting strangely before leaving the US with the child. The girl is now under the guardianship of the UK authorities.
