At the San Antonio Petting Aquarium, USA, an octopus left a young visitor with multiple bruises.

According to the injured boy's mother, Britney Taryn, this is not the first time they have visited this aquarium. Her six-year-old son Leo loves to watch animals, especially octopuses. Usually everything goes smoothly, but on July 14, the mollusk suddenly attacked the child.

Leo stuck his hand in a tank with a giant Pacific octopus, and it latched onto his hand. Taryn called the aquarium staff for help. At first, they didn't take the threat seriously and joked that the animal was too playful. However, it took the woman and three workers five minutes to remove the octopus. It left dark purple marks on the boy's hand from its suction cups.

Tarin filed a complaint against the aquarium to the USDA. She noted that its rules allow touching and feeding the animals. There is usually a safety officer near the aquariums, but on the day of the incident, no one was near the octopus. The woman believes the aquarium's concept is dangerous and calls for the octopus to be isolated so that it does not hurt anyone else.
