An adrenaline junkie was seriously injured after jumping from a 42-metre waterfall. 21-year-old Vali Graham suffered a broken spine, sternum, skull and a ruptured eardrum.
The extreme sports enthusiast jumped from the top of Minnehaha Falls in the Blue Mountains National Park in New South Wales. In the footage, Graham is seen flying from the top of the waterfall and falling almost horizontally into the water, he instantly lost consciousness.
Death diving is an extreme sport in which daredevils jump flat from a considerable height, and only group themselves at the very last moment. The goal is to avoid injury. The world record belongs to Swiss Lucien Charlon (height 41.76 m).
When Graham came to, he was able to get out of the water on his own and walk to the car in which his friends took him to the hospital. According to local media, the Newcastle native underwent emergency surgery.

Graham wrote on his page: "God gave me suffering. After an encounter with this monstrous 142.5 foot drop, I lost consciousness. I had surgery on my back and sternum, and within two days I was able to walk. Now I'm home, on my feet, and grateful for life, good friends, family, and God."
