In Japan, three cats were hired as heads of railway stations (5 photos + 1 video)
Even cats have found the best job in the world, even though they have paws.
Three whiskered beauties have been officially employed. Now they will do serious work, but in fact they are incredibly lucky, because they now have the best duties in the world: sleep soundly, meow sweetly, and eat deliciously. Although you can’t tell from their dissatisfied faces.
This cat, who was desperately trying to escape the clutches of a bespectacled Japanese man, is named Gotama, the fifth cat (Go) named after Tama, the legendary cat station manager who passed away in 2015.

The other two cats are named Nitama and Yontam, meaning Second Tama and Fourth Tama, respectively.

Santama (the third Tama) was sent to Okayama for training, but the man caring for the cat refused to give her up, saying, "I won't let this child go, she will stay in Okayama." So Sun-tama-tama now serves as the station master in Okayama.

The very first cat, named Tama, who became a legend, was given her own Shinto shrine after her death and was declared a guardian deity of the railway. She was so beloved that her spirit is still believed to be at Kishi Station, guarding it.

Japanese railway companies appoint various organizations, including fictional characters, as honorary station managers to increase the number of passenger visits to the stations.
