Ronnie became the first puppy in 2018 to be taken to a shelter (3 photos + 1 video)

2018 was the Year of the Dog, so it’s not surprising that many thought it was a great idea to give puppies as gifts for the New Year. And it’s good if the animal ends up in a family in which they have long dreamed of it, in which they will love and cherish it with all their hearts. But, unfortunately, everything happens completely differently and the animals end up in a shelter.

Ronnie is a tiny puppy who was given to a man as a New Year's gift from friends. He was not yet two months old when he was purchased from a breeder via the Internet in order to give him as a gift.

And just a few days later, Ronnie became the first puppy to be surrendered to Battersea Dogs and Cats Rescue in 2018. For some reason, the man was unable to care for the baby.

Now Ronnie is in a shelter where volunteers are taking care of him. Soon he will receive all the necessary vaccinations and a microchip, after which he will be ready to be adopted by a new family.

Shelter staff note that the puppy was taken away from his mother too early. And this is not surprising, because the only goal of unscrupulous breeders is money.

Volunteers also note that the puppy is very playful and affectionate. And this despite what he had to go through.

The shelter owner says they shared this story with the world so that people understand that the dog is not a toy. And if you have weighed everything and decided to give a puppy to someone, then take it from a shelter, and not from unscrupulous breeders.
