Curv, founded by former Aston Martin driver and Le Mans winner Darren Turner, has unveiled a new racing simulator, the AMR-C01-R. It is a “game console” equipped with everything needed for racing video games and partly stylized as a Valkyrie hypercar. In the UK, the simulator is sold at a price of 58,750 pounds ($75.7 thousand). At the same time, both the Porsche 718 Cayman and BMW Z4 are significantly cheaper here.
The body of the simulator is made of carbon fiber, and the front part is reminiscent of Aston Martin Racing cars. The player's seating position is copied from the Valkyrie driver's cockpit, while the seat is equipped with the ability to adjust the position depending on the height. The steering wheel looks like a full-fledged racing car steering wheel.
The game video is displayed on a 49-inch display with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 1 millisecond. Among the available hardware are a 14th generation Intel processor, 32 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card and a 2 TB SSD drive.
In 2020, Curv and Aston Martin already released a similar device, but, firstly, its limited edition has long been sold out, and secondly, the current simulator has been significantly improved both in terms of equipment and ergonomics. In total, only 50 copies of the AMR-C01-R will be assembled, deliveries will start in April.
