Tesla Cybertruck to Be Turned into an Armored Vehicle with an On-Board Generator (2 photos)
Tuners from the USA, together with the defense company Archimedes Defense, decided to turn the Tesla Cybertruck into a real armored vehicle with a huge power reserve. The modified electric pickup is planned to be offered in several versions at once, but not all of them will have ballistic protection.
The first and, presumably, the most affordable, is called Sting Baja. This Cybertruck is dressed in the signature body kit from Unplugged Performance, raised above the road by a lift kit, and has on board not only equipment for connecting to the Starlink satellite Internet, but also an 800-volt AMP Drive G125TM generator that can run on aviation fuel, diesel or biodiesel.
One step higher is the Sting Protector package, which not only provides off-road preparation of the model and increased autonomy due to the generator, but also ballistic protection against rounds of up to 7.62 mm caliber.
The most expensive will be the Sting APC modification kit, which will add both protection against explosives and an increased class of bullet armor to the Cybertruck. The latter will supposedly be able to stop even fire from 14.5 mm machine guns.
It should be noted that at the moment the companies do not provide any prices or exact dates for the release of the armored modifications of the Cybertruck on the market. The weight after all the modifications is also unknown. However, those wishing to get the new product can leave a pre-order, backed by a $500 deposit. It is expected that the modification packages may appear as early as 2025.
