A Chinese robotics company has released a video dedicated to the capabilities of its brainchild. In the summer heat, the bionic robot dog carries 20 kg of food and water to a picnic, but its capabilities do not end there.
While the military attaches weapons to cyber beasts, developers present these devices as assistants for the rich.
The four-legged robot X30, created by DEEP Robotics, can carry up to 20 kg of shopping. It can operate in temperatures from -20°C to 55°C, and is not afraid of pouring rain. The device can overcome obstacles of about 20 cm in height.
And another nice bonus: X30 will help you catch fish. At least, it will hold the fishing rod for you.
"With its unique integral perception, X30 can autonomously navigate and operate in extreme conditions such as darkness, bright light, flickering, and even without any light source."
The meter-long pet will follow its owner from 2.5 to 4 hours until it runs out of battery. At a maximum speed of 4 meters per second, it can travel about 10 km in this time.
DEEP Robotics has not yet disclosed the cost of the X30. However, on the American website Maverick Drone Systems, the robotic dog is sold for $65,000. The battery alone costs $4,500.
