A couple was found in the jungle who had lived for 50 years without civilization (4 photos + 1 video)
Since the late 1970s, the Dano and Robin couple have been living in the middle of the jungle in a house they built with their own hands in the Waialua Valley (Hawaii, USA). Their home is located 20 miles from the nearest city, far from traffic lights and large stores. 
The couple have developed their approach to housekeeping over decades and now haven't looked back: they haven't seen a TV in over 30 years and avoid Google as much as possible.
Dano and Robin live off the natural resources found on the two acres of land around their home. They make coffee from collected cocoa beans, grow vegetables and fruits, hunt deer and use herbs for healing. 
Recently, American director Peter Santenello, who has 2.95 million subscribers on YouTube, came to visit them. The blogger spent a typical day offline with the couple and shared his findings.
“I didn’t realize how unusual this lifestyle was, but there are times when I don’t see anyone else but Robin for weeks,” says Dano, who was born and raised in San Diego. 
As it turned out, the couple met in the Hawaiian jungle: Robin was already living far from civilization with her two-year-old daughter from a previous marriage, and Dano accidentally stumbled upon her house when he was walking around the neighborhood and became interested in the fact that the woman kept goats.
“I walked up and said, ‘Robin, can I have some goat’s milk with my coffee, please?’ That’s where it all started,” the man recalls the day they met.
Now the couple is raising four children. One of their daughters has already bought her own house in New Zealand, and the other has bought an apartment in Portland. 
After Peter Santenello's report appeared on YouTube, hundreds of people began sharing their thoughts about this lifestyle.
