On May 9, Melina Logan stole a new Honda Civic from a car dealership in Palmetto Bay, Florida, USA. During a test drive, the 27-year-old North Carolina native waited for the manager to leave the car and took off. 
The woman gave chase at a speed of 145 km/h. In the video from the police camera, Logan drives the car recklessly in heavy traffic, pulls onto the side of the road, trying to avoid a traffic jam. 
She hits several cars, and then crashes completely. As a result of the accident, the door on the carjacker's side became jammed, but she managed to escape through the passenger door and jump into the lake.
