The territory contains dozens of objects for various tests, from the "moose test" to driving a car on ice
The All-Terrain Race Track, an off-road testing ground built by BYD, has opened in Zhengzhou, China, with investments in the project amounting to 5 billion yuan (700 million dollars). The territory of more than 150 thousand square meters contains various objects - these are water, asphalt and sand sections, a race track with a 550-meter straight, an entertainment area and a campsite.
The off-road part of the test site consists of 27 sections that reproduce famous routes in China, such as the Sichuan-Tibet highway and the Chengfo slope. There is a 70-meter "pool" for passing an artificial ford and a 30-meter slope with a 28-degree slope, which was built from 6,200 tons of sand.
The length of the race track is 1,758 meters, it includes nine turns and a straight where you can accelerate to 220 kilometers per hour. The multifunctional test zone is suitable for slalom, "moose test", as well as tests of electronic assistants, including auto parking.
The portal CarNewsChina provides prices for visitors. For example, a 60-minute ride in the passenger seat of the Yangwang U9 supercar will cost 599 yuan ($83). A VIP ticket with the opportunity to drive a U9 on a race track and other entertainment costs 6,666 yuan ($927).
BYD will soon open several more such testing grounds. For example, a mountain testing zone in Shaoxing at an altitude of 500 meters should open in early 2026.
