Hyundai has officially launched the updated Creta crossover in the Indian market. The modifications included three engines, four gearboxes and nineteen equipment options. The crossover has acquired a more brutal appearance and a modern interior.
The price of the new product on the local market starts at 1,099,900 rupees, which is equal to 13 thousand dollars. Unfortunately, such prices are not available to us.
The crossover received a massive radiator grille, bumpers with large overlays imitating protective plates, and original diode optics. It retained the multi-tiered solution, but now both the running lights and taillights are made in a style reminiscent of the Hyundai Santa Fe. In both cases they are connected by transverse light strips.
In the cabin, in addition to fresh finishing materials and light color schemes, a completely new front panel has appeared. It integrates two 10.25-inch diagonal media screens located under one glass with a customizable interface. In addition, the climate control unit has been changed, and additional USB Type C ports have been placed in the area of the rear sofa.
The Creta gets a host of new options. The basic version now comes with six airbags, while the more expensive ones come with dual-zone climate control, all-round cameras and Bose acoustics. The list of active driver assistants has been noticeably expanded—Hyundai has counted 19 of them in total. Safety should also be enhanced by a body structure reinforced at critical points.
The most affordable Creta, as before, will be equipped with 1.5-liter gasoline and diesel engines producing 115 hp. With. in combination with a manual transmission. On two-pedal versions, the gasoline engine is equipped with a CVT, and the diesel engine is equipped with a classic automatic transmission. A new 160-horsepower 1.5-liter unit for the model is offered in the two most expensive versions, priced from 1,999,900 rupees (23 thousand dollars) and is accompanied by a 7-speed robot. The Indian Creta does not have all-wheel drive.
India has become the debut market for the new version of the crossover. Hyundai hinted at the possibility of such a Creta appearing in other countries: in recent years, global manufacturers have often used India to launch global new products. However, specific plans to bring the model outside the country have not yet been announced.
