It's hard to live in this big, busy world when you're an introvert, a loner and a shy person. But everything changes as soon as a true friend appears in life.





This was the case with a golden retriever named Samson, the pet of New York resident Leah Hendy. According to the girl’s stories, he always experienced, so to speak, difficulties in communicating with his own kind - he simply did not understand how to react to other dogs, how to play and interact with them. It was as if excessive modesty and a lack of understanding of the fact of what it was like to be a dog got in the way.



In parks and playgrounds, he avoided other dogs who showed interest and tried to make friends and play, and simply sat in a secluded corner until the end of the walk. But Leah once noticed how Samson showed a keen interest in the cat outside the window. And I realized that the pet is quite capable of building communications. You just need a suitable animal for this.





And a Scottish Fold cat, whom the girl named Cleo, took on the role of an ideal companion. The retriever was completely delighted by his new friend, protected the kitten, warmed him with his luxurious fur and played with pleasure with the little mischief-maker.

Cleo responded to her great friend with tender affection and did not leave Samson. Although Leah Hendy also has a Labrador named Kelvin, his bond with Cleo is not as strong as Samson's.



Her pets always join her on trips and hikes, but long walks turned out to be too tiring for tiny and weak Cleo.



So Samson decided to help his feline sister enjoy every step. He allows her to jump on his back when Cleo feels tired and stay there until she is ready to move on. The owner even purchased a special mini-saddle for this. The adorable furry duo often wear matching clothes, and after long hikes they love to cuddle and sleep next to each other.
