The rarest Nissan GT-R50 will be put up for auction (25 photos)

In Munich, Sotheby's will auction off the Nissan GT-R50 - the 11th of 18 cars assembled as part of a joint project between Nissan and the ItalDesign studio. The coupe, released in 2021, was not picked up by the buyer for unknown reasons, so the car is completely new. They expect to earn from 950,000 to 1,150,000 euros for it, and this, in fact, is the same amount that it would cost the customer.





The GT-R50 at the end of the 2010s was an attempt to celebrate two half-century anniversaries at once - the model itself and the ItalDesign studio. The custom sports car based on the GT-R R35 differed from the donor in a more spectacular Italian-style exterior design with a lowered roofline and an upgraded 3.8-liter V6 producing 720 hp. With. and 780 Nm.

The engine works in combination with a 6-speed robot and all-wheel drive. The chassis features Bilstein shock absorbers, Brembo brakes and special 19-inch wheels.

It was planned to produce only 50 copies of the GT-R50, but the reality turned out to be more harsh. For a number of reasons, including the coronavirus pandemic and the base cost of 990 thousand euros, only 18 cars were assembled, and at least one of them was never needed by the customer.

The car up for auction is equipped with a number of additional options, including, for example, a hydraulic rear wing and Liquid Silver body color. If the buyer took the car from the factory, he would have to pay 1,050,000 euros. The GT-R50 has only 191 kilometers on the odometer. During the entire period since assembly, the car was stored in a climate-controlled room.

RM Sotheby's believes this is the only time in the world that a GT-R50 with this mileage and in this condition has been put up for public auction.
