27-year-old American blogger Jessie Kirkpatrick spent more than 12 thousand dollars on various body modifications: piercings, tattoos, tunnels in the ears, silicone horns in the forehead. According to the girl, this helped improve her mental health and solve problems with eating behavior.





27-year-old American Jessie Kirkpatrick began to suffer from anorexia as a teenager, which was a consequence of severe trauma received in childhood. According to the blogger, she became addicted to body modifications to improve her mental health - and it personally helped her. Now she has many tattoos, piercings all over her face, tunnels in her ears and nostrils, and silicone horns in her forehead. In addition, training with heavy weights in the gym helped Jesse on the way to improving her psyche.



“At the age of 16, I became ill with anorexia - my weight dropped to 44 kilograms. I was literally fading away before my eyes, and there was nothing I could do about it. In subsequent years, I was “stuck” in anorexia. I also developed other health problems and allergies, because of which the fight against the disease became more difficult,” says Jesse.

One day she began regularly doing bodybuilding in the gym, and also became interested in body modifications. Since then, her sleep and overall activity have improved, and she “felt happy for the first time in many years.”



The girl spent 12 thousand dollars on all modifications over 10 years. According to Jessie, each piercing and tattoo has an important meaning to her: for example, the mandala tattoo on her face and neck represents her affiliation with Buddhism and serves as a reminder that she can rise above violence and hatred. The tunnels in the nostrils, according to the girl, represent the fact that the body can be changed and modified, expanding its capabilities.



Although not everyone approves of the girl's love for body modification, many of her subscribers support her. Jessie herself does not pay attention to the opinions of others:

"People often tell me that I'm going to hell for the way I look. They can't stop talking about how I ruined my body. They call me ugly. But you know what? I think it's up to me to decide who "I want to be and how I want to look. Only I know what will be best for me and my health," says the girl.
