The most tattooed Briton complains about “discrimination” at work (8 photos)
42-year-old Briton Matthew Whelan is 90% covered in tattoos - there are more than 300 designs on his body. He recently admitted that at his previous job he was “discriminated against” because of his bright appearance and tattoos.
The body of Briton Matthew Whelan, who is now known under the long pseudonym King Of Inkland King Body Art The Extreme Ink-ite, is 90 percent covered with tattoos. Recently, a 42-year-old man admitted that at his previous job he was “hidden” from company managers because of his exotic appearance. This happened while Matthew was working in a call center.
“Managers were supposed to come to our office, so it was decided to carry out a “personnel reshuffle.” I was transferred from one office to another. And I was the only one who was moved,” the man said.
According to Matthew, all this discrimination is because of his bright appearance and tattoos. He called another case “discrimination”: since he officially changed his real name to a pseudonym, the British bank HSBC refused to open an account for him. The company refused to open a new account because the name on the documents did not match the new name on the passport.
"They discriminate against me because of my identity," says King Of Inkland King Body Art The Extreme Ink-ite (aka Matthew).
In 2013, he was also denied a passport under his new name, King Of Inkland King Body Art The Extreme Ink-ite, because authorities said it did not meet certain rules. However, he defied the government and in 2014 finally received a passport with a new full name.
The Briton became interested in body art at the age of 16 - that’s when he got his first tattoos. He now has more than 300 tattoos, including the whites of his eyes painted black. In 2020, Matthew shared that he dreams of finding the love of his life and starting a family, but complained that before that he had only met frivolous girls.
