Professional snake catcher Stuart McKenzie caught a deadly reptile in a girl's bedroom
The snake was found in the room where a little girl lives. The reptile was hiding behind a cage with a pet mouse.
When McKenzie arrived at the scene, he identified the snake as an eastern brown snake—one of the most venomous snakes in the world. It took several attempts to catch and release it into the wild.
The eastern brown snake (Pseudonaja textilis) is one of the most venomous land species in the world, second in venom toxicity only to the inland taipan. It is widespread in eastern and central Australia, often settling near human habitation to hunt rats and mice. Despite their fearsome reputation, these snakes usually avoid humans and bite only during unexpected contact or if provoked.
