Vandals trash hypercar just days after customer delivery





The first production Koenigsegg Gemera delivered to a private owner was vandalized just days after handover. According to a Reddit user, the incident took place in central Copenhagen outside the luxury Hotel d'Angleterre, where unknown individuals pelted the hypercar with rocks.

The car sustained extensive damage, including a smashed windshield, broken side windows, shattered mirrors, and dents and impact marks across its carbon-fiber body panels.

This particular Gemera is especially notable due to its status as the very first customer car delivered after nearly six years of anticipation following the original concept's debut. All 300 planned units sold out long ago, with each priced at roughly $3 million.



Copenhagen police have opened an investigation and are reviewing surveillance footage from around the hotel. The perpetrators' identities and motives remain unknown.

Earlier in August, Koenigsegg unveiled the 1,622-hp CCGT1 hypercar, which generates 800 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. The company didn't reveal the price tag, but buying one is no longer an option anyway—all 70 planned production units have already been claimed.
