Remember how, a few years ago, young people were out catching virtual Pokémon in *Pokémon GO*? An app has surfaced that lets you catch and collect real-life cats, just like Pokémon.
"Pokémon GO" for cat lovers
You simply point your camera at a cat, and a neural network identifies its breed and assigns it a rarity level. You then receive a card displaying the pet's stats.
The more cats you find, the higher your level rises. Notably, photos and data are processed directly on your device rather than being sent to a server.
The app is called CatchCat. It is currently available only on Android.
