Plans for the nuclear-powered ocean liner "Freedom" have been revived (2 photos + 1 video)
Plans have been revived to build the nuclear-powered ocean liner "Freedom," which will be less a ship and more a city at sea.
Currently, the largest ship is considered to be a cruise ship called Symphony of the Seas.
It will circumnavigate the globe, completing a full orbit every two years, at a speed of 13 km/h, remaining in international waters the entire time (people will embark and disembark via ferries, boats, and helicopters).
Length – approximately 1,800 meters, width – 250 meters, height (25 decks) – over 100 meters, capacity – 80,000 people. Of these, 50,000 are permanent residents of the "city on the sea," 10,000 tourists (rotation), and 20,000 crew. That's roughly the same as launching Moscow City.
On board: residential apartments and houses, schools, colleges, hospitals (including a research center), shops, restaurants, parks, a water park, a 15,000-seat stadium, a concert hall, museums, trams, offices, etc.
