The studio is asking around €700,000 for its work.
Coach studio Touring Superleggera has announced a new restomod, a continuation of the Veloce12 coupe lineup unveiled in 2024. The supercar, called the Veloce Aperta, will be an open-top version with a targa-style body. As before, the donor car will be a Ferrari 550, which never had such a body.
Currently, only one photo of the future restomod has been published, which will feature at least a major redesign of the rear end. The Veloce Aperta will differ from the Ferrari 550 in that it features a glass dome over the engine compartment and the absence of a roof over the seats. Given the announced body style, the tuners will likely use panels that will have to be removed manually. It's possible that other body panels will also be replaced with carbon fiber alternatives, as the Touring Superleggera previously did with the Veloce12 coupe.
The Aperta Targa is known to be equipped with the same powertrain as the coupe: a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 boosted to 510 hp, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. New suspension components are also expected, along with a price increase compared to the coupe, for which the Italians were asking from €690,000, excluding the price of the donor car.
The full premiere of the expensive restomod is scheduled for June 26.
