Visitors to a Chinese park discovered that the "elephants" were actually people in suits
A Chinese zoo caused quite a stir when visitors discovered they were seeing costumed employees instead of elephants. Two of the "elephants" performing in the show turned out to be performers in costume.
The incident occurred at Mount Wansui Martial Arts City in Kaifeng, located in Henan Province in central China. For a long time, visitors to the theme park believed they were seeing real animals.
A video of elephants taking the stage went viral online. People were listening to stories and expecting a molten iron fireworks display. But alert spectators immediately noticed something was wrong—human ankles were visible on one of the elephants.
The video immediately sparked discussion on social media. Many viewers expressed shock and outrage, believing they were seeing real elephants, not people in costumes.
Some users praised the zoo staff for their accuracy and use of simulations instead of real animals.
