Police officers dressed as Batman and Robin carried out a successful undercover operation
London law enforcement officers dressed as Batman and his sidekick Robin carried out an operation to catch "thimbleriggers" on Westminster Bridge.
The police responsible for maintaining public order in Greater London have published a video showing two officers dressed as superheroes making their way through a crowd of people on the central London bridge and catching suspects.
It is noted that the police officers decided to take a creative approach after the local criminal element began to recognize them from afar.
Westminster Bridge is located just a few steps from the Houses of Parliament, so there are always a lot of scammers and con artists there who "hunt" for naive tourists.
As it became known, one of the arrested "thimbleriggers" was found guilty by the court and fined 925 pounds sterling. The second of the perpetrators was convicted in absentia because he was released on bail but left the country and did not appear in court.
