Chinese zoo accused of using people in costumes instead of Malay bears
Zoo staff hastened to refute the words of the critics. They said that this species of bears is different from its other relatives and more than others resembles a person.
Visitors to a zoo in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou showed an enclosure with Malay bears and accused the staff of the establishment of using people in costumes instead of animals. On the published frames, you can really notice the strange structure of the body and the unusual habits and movements of the animal.
However, the zoo explained that the "solar" Malayan bears are smaller than their relatives and look different, but they are real. The employees also wrote a remark on the Chinese social network Weibo on behalf of the bear, who complained that he was not understood.
Some people think that I look like a person. You don't seem to understand me very well.
The folds that the authors of the video pointed out are also found in real Malay bears.
The Associated Press, meanwhile, writes that other Chinese zoos have previously repainted dogs to look like lions and wolves, and "made up" donkeys to look like zebras.
