A dog started a house fire in Ottawa. The pet showed interest in a heated glove and began chewing on it. The mechanical impact of its teeth on the built-in lithium-ion battery caused the fire.
"Ottawa firefighters quickly contained a house fire that started when a dog chewed on a heated glove powered by a lithium-ion battery.
The department reported that the homeowner noticed the fire through his security system and called the fire department. Firefighters were able to contain the fire and rescue the dog from the house within 10 minutes of arriving."
